Panhandle Pride

The first Panhandle Pride, was a small potluck style event held on August 29th, 2015 at Gardner Park in Gering, Nebraska. It was planned on only 3 weeks notice, and drew approximately 130 people. This Pride event led to the creation of our non-profit organization called Panhandle Equality. Panhandle Equality has since moved Pride to Frank Park in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to accommodate growth in attendance and activities.

What once started as a small potluck, has now grown into a variety of entertainment and food with a local talent show, choir performances, drag performances, community organization & vendor booths, raffle prizes and free food! Pride has a little bit of everything for everyone. In 2019, our 5th Annual Panhandle Pride event drew approximately 400 people with almost 100 people also attending the Post Pride Drag Show.
